25 Songs of Christmas - Day 25: It has arrived! The day we celebrate the birth of the Saviour of the World, JESUS! I chose to revisit a album that I have already posted from before during this survey of Christmas music. I have told you already, but Nicole C. Mullen’s “Christmas In Black and White” is one of my absolute favorite Christmas albums, so I chose to share “Sacred Night / Away In a Manger” with you on this Nöel! I hope you have enjoyed this Christmas journey as much as I have. Just remember that Christmas is about God’s Wisdom, Providence, and Mercy through the gift of Jesus to the world, and we all should strive to live a life valuing the things Jesus taught us to cherish. Thank you, Godspeed (God Bless) and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
My first Christmas single ‘Spirit of Christmas’ is out NOW! I’ve always wanted to write an original Christmas song, that’s one achievement crossed off my list now. ;)
The single includes the original version and an orchestral version, plus two wallpapers.
25 Songs of Christmas - Day 23: Just imagine how illuminated the world would be if everyone lit a candle for at least one other person… One of Jesus’ primary lessons was how we should have a servant’s heart in helping others.
25 Songs of Christmas - Day 22: “Chains shall he break, for the slave is our brother, and in His name all oppression shall cease…” I love this version of “O Holy Night” because it contains those lyrics above, and they are sung by a woman who I believe has a true heart for social justice.
25 Songs of Christmas - Day 21: I did not want to do this, but since I was so late posting yesterday’s song, I cannot upload a song today. So here is a video of one of my favorite Celtic artists, Loreena McKennitt, singing “Noël Nouvelet!”. I know you will enjoy it!
25 Songs of Christmas - Day 19: I feel this is an appropriate song as we withdraw our soldiers out of Iraq. Too bad, our war is no where near done, but that does not mean we cannot wish each other “A very merry Christmas and a happy new year” and “[hoping] it’s a good one, without any fear…”
25 Songs of Christmas - Day 17: I first heard this song because it was included on Avalon’s “Joy: A Christmas Collection”, and I was shocked to see that it was originally by Mariah Carey… I enjoy both versions!
25 Songs of Christmas - Day 15: This song reminds us to make sure that we exhibit the same amount of love we give out at Christmastime throughout the year. This is a lesson that many people have not learned. I must add that Avalon’s cover is a must-listen as well! I love Jody McBrayer’s voice!
